Housed in a charming vintage mansion formerly the home of the Ministry of Commerce, Museum Siam: Discovery Museum is perhaps the first truly interactive museum in Thailand. The museum’s permanent exhibition emphasizes on the history of the Thai people and their connections to nearby cultures through 17 rooms of multimedia displays and presentations. It also hosts regularly rotating exhibitions on a variety of topics, from food culture to new science innovations. There is also a series of cultural activities like workshops and free movie screenings. Check out its website for current news, updates and exhibitions.
Opening hours: Tue-Sun 10am-6pm.
Admissions: B300 for adults, free for children under 15 and elders over 60 years old. Free between 4-6pm daily.
