Silom Street Night Market

Silom Street Night Market is close to Saladaeng BTS station. Therefore, it is very convenient 

to visit this market. You can come by bus number 4, 12, 77, 136, 137, 206, 501 or 514. If you come by your own car, you can park at Robinson department store or at Soi Convent. However, you have to pay for the parking fee calculated per hour. The most recommended and convenient way is by BTS and MRT. 

Get off at Saladaeng BTS station or Silom MRT (underground) station. From Silom MRT station, take exit 1, then walk straight pass 2 alleys and you will find abundant of stalls waiting for you on both sides of the street. Silom Street is one of the most important commercial area in Bangkok. Therefore, this area is full of office buildings and shops where you can buy many products such as souvenirs, fashion clothes, shoes, movie CDs, music CDs and OTOP products. Most shops open daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 19.00 until 02.00 of the next day. Shoppers can enjoy shopping over the night. Moreover, there is 

an over-60-year-history of the area close to Silom. In World War II periods, that area was the abundant banana field which was owned by Japanese army. The name of that alley came from Patpong Panich family who bought the land in1946. They ordered to build office buildings and named the road 

“Soi Patpong 1”. Later in 1968, night clubs gradually were opened for American soldiers who fought 

in Vietnam War. It gained its fame between 1972 and 1992. Until nowadays, it is known among tourists as “Soi Patpong” with many night clubs.
